Board of Management at The Swan NS

Our Board of Management plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of our school. The board is responsible for overseeing the management, development, and governance of the school, always keeping the best interests of our students, staff, and school community at heart.

Who is on the Board?

The Board of Management is made up of eight members, representing different groups within the school community.

Our current Board members were elected for a four- year term in 2023.

Patron's representatives:

• Fr. Dan Dunne ( Chairman) & Anne Rogan

Teachers’ Representatives: 

• Liz Kennedy ( Secretary) & Elsa Cummins.

• Parents’ Representatives: 

• Ann Fleming & Enda Gohery.

Community Representatives:

• Marion Knowles & John Stanley.

What Does the Board Do?

• Ensures the school provides a high standard of education.

• Manages school finances and resources.

• Oversees policies and procedures to create a safe and supportive environment.

• Supports the principal and teaching staff in delivering quality education.

• Plans for the future growth and improvement of the school.

The Board of Management meets regularly throughout the year and works closely with staff, parents, and the wider school community to ensure The Swan NS continues to thrive.
